My profession is a major part of my personality. I cannot imagine a day without helping my patients get through rough times when they are in pain or discomfort. Bringing my knowledge, experience, and skills to a person who is in need – whether a major procedure, preventive care, or education – is gratifying.

I have practiced dentistry for over 30 years, here in the US and in Iran. Initially drawn to the profession from a desire to work with my hands and help people be healthier and happier, I have found this career to be rewarding. I treasure listening to each patient and getting to know them personally. I enjoy being part of someone’s life and value the connections that grow as a result of our conversations. And I especially love to make a person happy by ensuring they have a great smile, a smile that is healthy, fully functional, and as unique and wonderful as the individual.

What could be more fulfilling, professionally or personally, than having the opportunity to improve lives, one person and one smile at a time?

Education and Experience

I grew up in Tehran, Iran and studied General Dentistry at the highly-regarded Tehran University from 1984 to 1990 before entering into practice. In 2000 I returned to my schooling, at Taleghani Hospital in Tehran, where I studied Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery through 2005. Following a move to the United States, I completed a Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) at Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine.

In practice, I strive to deliver the highest level of dental care, with the least discomfort, stress, and cost. People deserve good oral health. I help each of my patients achieve their healthiest smile and provide them the support, education, and services needed to maintain their teeth, for life.

Professional Affiliations and Ongoing Learning

I am a member of the American and California dental associations and the Stanislaus Dental Society. Through these organizations, I have access to numerous meetings, seminars, and trainings, along with publications. Taking advantage of every continuing educational opportunity, I constantly challenge myself to stay at the forefront of advancements in oral healthcare.

In addition to studying the latest developments in general dentistry, I seek out specialized courses and education in oral surgery, dental implants and IV Sedation. In keeping abreast of new techniques, materials, and equipment, I ensure each patient receives the quality care and results they deserve.

In the Community

After coming to the United States, I began to participate in volunteer and charity activities with the California Dental Association and Veteran Days. Being able to help others, especially those underserved, is core to who I am. Community volunteerism and outreach bring me closer to people and give me the opportunity to improve their overall health, as well as their dental needs.

Beyond Dentistry

My wife and I have been married for 35 years and have two adult children: our son is 31 and resides in Sydney, Australia where he works as a data scientist at the University of Sydney; our daughter is 28 and resides in Vancouver, British Columbia while working in the tourism management industry.

During my down time, I like hanging out with friends in the Bay Area, hiking and enjoying nature, and occasionally fishing. I also like watching movies, both at home and at the cinema, and cooking. I am an avid reader, too, with an interest in news from around the world. Among the numerous subjects I enjoy keeping up with are science specially dental, technology, and politics.
